Step 1: Counseling & Pre-Treatment Planning

Couples planning for IVF treatment will have a detailed counseling session with our fertility experts. This session includes:

• A complete explanation of the IVF procedure using videos and models.
• Signing a counseling consent form to ensure transparency.
• Pre-treatment planning, which involves a mock transfer, financial discussions, and deciding on the stimulation protocol tailored to each patient.

Step 2: Ovarian Stimulation & Monitoring

Ovarian Stimulation

• The process starts with fertility medications and hormone injections that stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple follicles (each containing an egg).
• This step is crucial to enhance the chances of successful fertilization.

Monitoring & Dose Adjustment

• Close ultrasound monitoring and occasional blood tests are conducted to track follicle growth.
• Our specialists at Gada IVF adjust medication dosage based on the individual’s response for the best possible outcome.
• Once optimal follicle size is achieved, a final trigger injection (hCG) is administered in the evening (8-10 PM).
• 35-36 hours post-trigger, the patient is scheduled for egg retrieval.

Step 3: Egg Retrieval (Ovum Pickup)

• Egg retrieval is performed 35-36 hours after the trigger shot.
• Patients visit our IVF center in Indore a day before the procedure for pre-operative instructions.
• The patient must fast for 6-8 hours before the procedure and arrive at least 30 minutes early.
• The procedure takes around 30 minutes under mild anesthesia, ensuring a pain-free experience.
• After retrieval, the patient is monitored for 3-4 hours before being discharged.

Step 4: Fertilization & Embryo Development

Egg & Sperm Preparation

• Retrieved eggs are examined for maturity and quality.
• The husband provides a sperm sample, which is processed in the lab.
• Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is commonly used to increase fertilization success rates.

Fertilization & Embryo Monitoring

• A single sperm is injected into each mature egg using advanced micromanipulation tools.
• The embryos are carefully monitored for proper development over the next few days.
• By day 3 post-retrieval, the number and quality of embryos are assessed.
• The couple, along with the medical team, decides whether to proceed with fresh embryo transfer or freeze additional embryos for future use.

Step 5: Embryo Transfer

• 3-5 days after egg retrieval, the patient returns for embryo transfer.
• A pelvic ultrasound ensures the endometrial lining is ready for implantation.
• The couple views the embryos on a screen, and doctors explain their grading and viability.
• A thin catheter is used to transfer selected embryos into the uterus under ultrasound guidance.

Post-Procedure Care

• The patient is prescribed supportive medications to enhance implantation.
• A Beta hCG blood test is scheduled two weeks later to confirm pregnancy.
